CoinGate alternative: Crypto Merchant vs CoinGate (2026)
CoinGate ended USDT support in 2025 under the EU's MiCA rules, and it verifies every merchant (KYB) before you can use its merchant tools. Crypto Merchant accepts USDT on six networks, including Tron, and doesn't ask for identity documents when you create an account. CoinGate is still the better choice if you want euros, pounds or dollars paid to your bank, or a plugin for your store.

CoinGate settles to bank accounts and has plugins, but no longer accepts USDT. Crypto Merchant accepts USDT and USDC on six networks each, but pays out in crypto only.
| Feature | Crypto Merchant | CoinGate |
|---|---|---|
| Payment fee | 1% of each paid invoice, in the coin paid, deducted when it's credited. Expired or cancelled invoices cost nothing. | 1% per transaction on the Standard plan; custom on Enterprise.[1] |
| Monthly and setup fees | None, and no setup fee. Going live takes a one-time $25 payment, credited in full to your gas balance for network fees. It isn't refunded as cash. | None on either plan.[1] |
| Conversion | Optional: swap everything into one holding coin. The rate is the live market price and includes a service margin. | 1% on manual exchange on the platform; automatic conversion at checkout is excluded from that fee.[1] |
| Payouts and withdrawals | Any time, no minimum, no Crypto Merchant payout fee: network fee only. Each coin to its own address, or swapped into one holding coin first. | Crypto and SEPA withdrawals free from 50 EUR; SWIFT 0.50%; automatic weekly settlement on Standard. Crypto payouts cost 0.50 EUR + 0.5% (+1.5% with conversion).[1] |
| KYC or KYB to sign up | Email, name and business name. We don't ask for identity documents when you create an account. | KYB is mandatory: “There is no way around it if you wish to access merchants tools”.[4] |
| Custody | Custodial. We hold the keys; every wallet comes from one recovery phrase kept offline on paper. Payments collect in a pool wallet dedicated to your business. | Custodial merchant balance with weekly settlement (our inference from the pricing page).[1] |
| Coins and networks | 11 coins on 11 networks. USDT on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum One, Tron and Solana. USDC on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum One and Solana. USDC on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base and Optimism.[2][3] |
| Country limits | Anyone, in any country, can sign up. The Terms prohibit illegal goods, fraud and sanctions evasion. | Publishes a list of supported countries; others are asked to contact sales.[5] |
