Getting started

Crypto Merchant lets any business accept crypto payments. Setup is free, there are no ID checks, and you pay 1% per paid invoice. This page takes you from a new account to your first payment.

Five steps to your first payment

  1. 1

    Create your account

Sign up with your email, your name and your business name. Anyone, in any country, can open an account, and we don't ask for ID documents.

  2. 2

    Choose your coins

Turn on the coins and networks you want to accept. Customers only see the coins you turn on. Coins & networks lists everything that is live today.

  3. 3

Set your sweep and payout rules

Choose whether confirmed payments move into your pool wallet automatically or only when you start a sweep, and how you want to be paid out: each coin to its own wallet, or everything swapped into one holding coin. See Wallets, sweeps & gas and Payouts & swaps.

  4. 4

    Go live

Make the one-time go-live payment of $25, in any coin. The full amount is credited to your gas balance, which pays the network fees for moving your coins. You can accept payments once your account is live.

  5. 5

    Get paid

Share your checkout page, create payment links, or create invoices from your own site with the API. Every payment shows up in the portal, and a webhook can tell your server the moment one is paid.

Three ways to get paid

Testnet and mainnet

Crypto Merchant runs either on test networks (testnet) or on the real networks (mainnet). Testnet coins have no value and are only for trying things out; API keys there start with cm_test_. On mainnet, keys start with cm_live_ and every payment is real.

This site is running on mainnet. Payments here are real.

What it costs

  • 1% of each paid invoice. Expired and cancelled invoices cost nothing.
  • Free setup, and no minimum for payouts.
  • Network fees for sweeps and swaps are paid from your gas balance. We add no fee on top for sweeps.
  • Swap rates include a service margin.
